Job description

Our client an international events and exhibitions company, is looking to fill a business development roles on a fixed term basis.  They are searching for experienced highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Managers to work on the Hosted Buyer Programme for their business travel events. This role will be responsible for the recruitment of the event and meeting planner professionals and buyers to events and for the overall business development strategy. The role will build new and existing relationships and take ownership of the market.  Responsibilities include the ability to identify potential key industry partnerships to support the increase and growth of the portfolio database with the key focus on the Association & Corporate market.

  • Experience working in the travel/tourism/events sector, ideal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable on the phone and face-to-face with clients.
  • Comfortable networking and dealing with new clients across a range of cultures.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure with great attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
