Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded travel representation company to take on the business development for a new client with a portfolio of products in SE Asia. This requires an individual with strong destination knowledge of SE Asia, who can work autonomously to develop and implement a sales/business development strategy for the client to firmly establish distribution into the UK and European markets via tour operators, groups, agents, DMC’s etc. Time will be spent both in the London office but also in the field working with the relevant trade partners to drive and maximise distribution and sales in the European markets for the client’s product portfolio. Activities will include developing positive relationships with airline and tourist board partners. You will be required to produce annual sales and marketing plans and activities, organise quarterly account reviews and submit monthly activity reports to the client. You will represent the client at relevant trade shows, events and fam trips.

  • Strong knowledge of SE Asia destinations
  • Proven experience and success in a sales, product or commercial capacity within travel
  • Commercially strong and able to plan and execute a sales/business development strategy
  • Advanced knowledge of travel trade distribution
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously
  • Able to achieve and exceed set targets
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship manager with sound negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the European outbound travel market advantageous
  • French language skills an advantage
  • Highly organised with good problem-solving skills
