Job description

Our client, an international tourist board,  is looking for a Marketing & Public Relations Manager to join their team, based in London’s West End. The focus of the role will be to develop and implement imaginative consumer and trade campaigns. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for the management of external agencies, promotions, advertising, and partnership marketing agreements as well as managing a team of two.   This role will require consumer brand marketing experience with an emphasis not only on digital knowledge (important) but also evidence of implementing & designing creative and innovative campaigns.  This role will take ownership of the marketing and showcasing the destination as a vibrant tourist destination. Other responsibilities will include creating brand partnerships, work with third parties & influencers to extend the reach of the brand.  This will be done through consumer promotions, integrated marketing campaigns & public relations. Experience in working across disciplines, to create impactful creative campaigns, especially working with, or managing PR teams.

Skills
  • Degree or equivalent education level.
  • An all-round marketing professional with senior experience in brand & digital marketing and managing or working closely with PR teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of digital technologies and applications, including Google / Adobe Analytics, Google Ads & Display Network, Facebook Ad Manager, Instagram, Twitter, PhotoShop and Content Management Systems.
  • Good understanding of the media landscape with a good network of travel trade and consumer journalists.
  • Must be an excellent negotiator and commercially aware able to obtain favourable terms in partner campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills to successfully delegate tasks and co-ordinate multi-stakeholder campaigns.
  • Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude, used to working across time zones and meeting deadlines.
  • An eye for detail and a drive to keep up to date with the latest developments in digital marketing.
  • Strong numerical, analytical skills required to critically evaluate campaigns.
  • Thorough understanding of GDPR compliance & regulations
  • Ideally an understanding of working for an international/multi-cultural organisation.
  •  Experience in working for a public / governmental body is desirable.
