Thinking of postponing your job search until after the Holiday Season? You may want to reconsider
The Holiday Season can be quite a busy time of year for all types of industries. Between all the holiday festivities and office projects that are wrapping up before the end of the year, many have little spare time. For people who are seeking employment, some choose to cease or postpone their search until the New Year assuming that most employers don’t have any new openings and are too busy to hire or recruit for their team.
However, what most job seekers do not realize is many employers look to add new members to their team in preparation for the new year. Starting the new year off with a new team member, ready to work and get introduced to the business, is appealing for some employers, and look to recruit and hire prior to the Christmas holiday.
The month of December has had 25% increase in the number of new job opportunities at HARP wallen, compared to November. With 25% of those roles looking to close or have a decision made before the holiday break. Reasons being, they would like to have a new team member ready for the new year.
For all those job seekers in the tourism and travel industry looking to postpone your job search until 2013, you may want to reconsider. Get in touch. We may be able to get you a new job for Christmas.
