The soft skills of recruiting

My first month in travel recruitment has gone quickly.  A lot to learn and yet so familiar; a view from the other side of the industry.  Over the years, I got to know many of the major and smaller companies in the business by working with them, for them or as the competition. In recruiting, they are our clients and HARP wallen has the expertise to help them manage their executive recruitment.   It really is rewarding to know that our selection process will satisfy not only our clients by providing only the best suitable candidates, but also when the process is completed an individual will be taking a new step on their career ladder.

Getting the right people to the right company is a complicated journey.  Of course having the tools, IT and databases are important, but what strikes me in this first month is the importance of expert use of the “soft skills” including communication, intuition and commitment. I see these skills in use every day and because of this, I see the confidence that both clients and candidates have in HARP wallen.  Engaging a respected and knowledgeable executive travel recruiter like HARP wallen takes the pressure off companies. With over 20 years of experience and knowledge of the UK and international travel market, we know how to locate “hard to find” candidates.
